Who is Northern Homes?
Northern Homes Community Development Corporation is a private nonprofit corporation formed as a joint effort between the Northeast Michigan Council of Governments and the Northern Lakes Economic Alliance to create affordable housing opportunities in Northern Michigan. Northern Homes was established in 1998 and has created 132 affordable homes in the past 10 years. We have provided financial counsleing and education to over 700 families and individuals.
What does Northern Homes Do?
We help families and individuals to improve their credit, rent an apartment, buy and rehabilitate a home and avoid foreclosure.
